Current Spring Everyday Face

So these are the products I use everyday, on just normal days when nothing special is going on. I have very fair, dry  and very sensitive skin. I'll list out what I use and what I think about it and also how much each product costs. Many of these products are high end, and that is just because that is what works for me. I have no interest in spending extra money on name brands if a less expensive, but high quality product is available that works just as well for me.

Facial Bar: Wonderbar - $40 for a 25gm bar. I find all the claims on their webpage to be true. The only drawback I have found to this is you can't use mineral makeup that has to be buffed into the skin. I loved my Bare Minerals, and I gave it up because this Facial Bar was even more amazing.

  • Brings balance back to skin.Oily skin becomes less oily and dry skin becomes less dry (which makes the effects of eczema, acne, and psoriasis less noticeable). Puts a natural healthy glow on your face in as little as three minutes.

  • Firms, lifts, and tightens. Pores appear smaller. You’ll feel the effects immediately and see the difference as it continues working throughout the day.

  • Cost effective. Wonderbar tones, exfoliates and moisturizes…all-in-one

Moisturizer: Josie Maran Organic Aragan Oil - AMAZING! This product changed my life completely. Its refered to as "Liquid Gold" and let me tell you, that is no joke. Some people claim to hate it because its "oily" well I'm positive they were not using the product correctly. I know everyones skin is different, but really this stuff is a miracle in a bottle. I used to have red, flaky, dry skin no matter what I did, no matter how much time or money I spent. Then I found this, and after about a month it looked like I had a new face. I only use 4 drops for my entire face, two on my neck and two on my décolleté.

What it does...
This multi-tasking beauty can be used to:
1. Soften dry skin Argan Oil's naturally high concentration in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids work to alleviate dry skin and rough patches.
 2. Help minimize fine line Smooth Argan Oil over skin and under your eyes for intense moisture and to reduce appearance of fine lines.
3. Help heal acne blemishes and scarring
With regular use, Argan Oil is widely reported to heal existing acne blemishes, prevent the occurrence of new breakouts and                help reduce scarring.

4. Soften cuticles Massage a few drops of Argan Oil onto your cuticles to soften and condition.
5. Treat split ends Rub oil between your hands and smooth through hair to minimize fly-aways and treat split ends.
6. Give skin a fresh, youthful look Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow.
7. And it's safe enough for use on your baby
100% pure, organic Argan Oil is safe enough to use on your baby's delicate skin to help treat dryness and soothe redness. You can also smooth over your stomach during pregnancy to help prevent stretch marks.

It can be found at Sephora, Joise Maran Cosmetics, but the best deal I have found is at QVC. The 2oz bottle is $48 at each site, but at QVC they include a Argan Color Stick in Rose! Which can be used as blush or lip color!

Sunblock/Primer:  Josie Maran Aragan Oil Daily Moisturizer with SPF 40 Plus -  $32 2oz This gem is two steps in one. It can be used as a foundation primer as well as a natural form of sunblock. It blocks UVA and UVB, is lightweight and absorbing quickly into my skin. At this time only Sephora and Josie Maran Cosmetics carry this product.

Undereye Treatment & Concealer: Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller - $12.99 and Garnier Renue Anti-Puff Roller $12.99. I don't actually need the anit-puff roller everyday, but when I do it really works for me to get rid of the puffballs under my eyes. Then After it dries I use the Anti-Dark Circle roller to treat the dark circles under my eyes, it contains caffeine which really helps. It also has a concealer which usually is enough to do the job and isn't at all heavy like most under-eye concealers I've tried in the past. Its super light and doesn't even look like makeup. My husband sometimes puts this on before church on Sunday mornings and no one knows, they just think he woke up looking restful. I have to admit on days when I look particularly beat up I do need to use additional concealer, but that isn't often.  It is sold at mass retailers nationwide including drug stores, and super stores, easily found online. Here is a link for Ulta where I purchased mine: Anti-Puff Anti-Dark-Circle

Tinted Moisturizer: Josie Maran Tinted Moisturizer in Light (Butter) $38.00 I must admit that I use this product directly because of the Wonderbar. Not that I think there is anything really wrong with it. It is a bit heavy for a Tinted Moisturizer, but still not full coverage. Its about Medium coverage, so its good for daytime use. I do order mine from QVC and the price is different, it is $44, but a feature price of $39.98 at the moment. It comes with a full coverage concealer, which I do use. The exact concealer that comes with it is a QVC exclusive. Josie Maran does make other concealers, however I have never tried them. The Tinted Moisturizer alone can be found at Sephora and Josie Maran Cosmetics

Bronzer: Physicians Formula Bronze Gems Matte & Bright Bronzer, Highlighter & Eyeshadow - $12.95. Wow what a mouthful! Ok well I love this Matte Bronzer on my skin for contouring because it isn't very dark and I can just add some of the highlighter if I want some sparkle on top like a skin finish. I've never actually tried the multi colored highlighter side as an eyeshadow like they say you can, but I can confirm that it gives a lovely glow on my skin without being glittery. This is sold in drug stores, and super stores nationwide, but I'm including a direct link to their webpage, because I got mine in a clearance sale while my local ShopKo remodeled and they no longer carry it. Physicians Formula Bronzer

Blush: Hard Candy Fox In A Box, Smooth Talker $6 at Walmart This blush brings a beautiful natural looking glow to my face. It is great for daytime and casual settings. Yes, this is a dupe for the Benefit Box Blush in Sugarbomb but I can't really confirm or deny how alike they are because I have never tried the Benefit one. All I know is this one works for me, and its only $6 so... maybe I just don't want to fall in love with a more expensive version lol...

Facepoweder: MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder, Light $23.00. Love, love, love this powder. It gives a little coverage as well as blot out any oil, and gives a more satin finish that is very natural looking. So silky and it does not look like I'm wearing powder on my face, even if this is all I put on. A bonus is that it is very refreshing on my skin. Sold wherever you can find MAC.

Eyeshadow Primer: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Original Tube  $19.00 .37oz This keeps my eyeshadow, no matter how vibrant, the same color all day and without creases. Stress free eye makeup is the way to go! Sold at Sephora  and Urban Decay online

Eyeshadow: Cargo Essential Pallet in Warm Neutral $32. Its so basic, some might think boring, but I'm in love. I can go from very neutral to dramatic in a flash, just add more shadow. These are a Matte/Satin finish so its very forgiving in fine lines around the eyes. I have almost no fallout and the size of each shadow is huge... and I do just follow the simple steps pressed into the shadow, telling you which is best for crease or lid etc. Sold at fine beauty stores, department stores and at Cargo cosmetics online.

Gel Eyeliner: Buxum Lashliner $15.00 Wonderful stuff. It not only goes on smooth and stays all day, but it is also a treatment for your eyelashes at the same time. It makes them healthier thanks to their vitamin rich formula. It's also safe for contact wearers! I Switch off between Leatherette (black), Suede (Brown), Blue Velvet (Navy) depending on my mood and where I'm going. Only place I've found is Sephora

Pencil Liner: Hello Kitty Charrmy Kohl Eyeliner $28. I really like this for outside the eye, although I do use it on my waterline too. Right now I use it for everything because its the best I have. I use the Happy Cloud on my lower waterline and tearduct to make my eyes look a little brighter and bigger. I use the Goodnight dreams on my top waterline to make my lashes look bigger and my eyes more defined. Sometimes I switch it up with the other colors as well if I want a little pop of color. These are very cute and go on easy, but don't have the best waterline staying power, which is really true of all khol eyeliners. I plan on trying Urban Decay's 24/7 liners for my waterline next.

Mascara: Maybeline One by One Mascara in Blackest Black $7.99 for my top lashes. Amazing, no clumps! One coat and I'm good to go for my daytime everyday look! Does everything it claims! On my bottom lashes I use Maybeline One by One Waterproof also $7.99. I prefer waterproof on bottom so it doesn't do a slide show down in the creases under my eyes during the day, especially if it is hot or if I get emotional!  Sold everywhere, drug stores, super stores, grocery stores, and my links are from Ulta

Lipgloss: MAC Creamsheen Glass in Boybait $18.50 Its hard to find a great nude gloss that doesn't have glitter, or shimmer, or frost, or even shows up! This gloss is not sticky, shows on my lips, but it doesn't have the best staying power. I've trained myself to not lick my lips at all because this is too pricey to waste! Always keeping my eye out for a more affordable dupe though!

Setting Spray: MAC Fix+ $19 So amazing. It can be used before or after makeup application, I use it after. It helps hydrate skin and set my makeup so it doesn't get cakey! If I have an extra dry patch on my face I spray some onto a stipple brush and stipple it directly onto the dry patch. It works really well, and feels really good once I learned how to let something spray into my face. It is infused with green tea, chamomile  cucumber with the scent of Sugi. This has really made a huge difference in how I feel about makeup.

e.l.f.. Nail Polish Haul

I noticed I didn't have very much spring colored nail polish after my big move. I had purged most of my beauty products because many of them had already been stretched past their lifeline. ELF was having a sale on their essentials Spend $20 and get 10 items from their essentials line for free. They are constantly having various specials and personally I choose to wait for the great deals to order! So I got all nail polish and nail accessory items.

www.eyeslipsface.com

I ordered the 5 piece bright set that comes in, Fire Coral, Hot Pink, Sunset, Punk Purple and Fushia. All are true to swatch but the punk purple which is like a neon purple. They are all very pretty colors, however they are mini's and the website shows them as being the regular full size bottle. Also, the Fire Coral was all dried out and half of it missing. . . which honestly really ticked me off because it was the color I wanted the most from the collection. They did credit me $3 of the $5 charged for the set before they mailed it out, so at least I wasn't totally ripped off.
The other 5 piece set I ordered was the Neutrals collection and it comes with Nude, Champagne, Clear, White and Coral. These all came full size as shown on the website, and all look like the swatch online, very lovely.

Singles that look like swatch online
Dark Red
Desert Haze
Innocent
Mango Madness
Purple Pleaser

Singles that Do NOT look like swatch!

Metal Madness - I like it the real color better! Dark silver with very fine multicolored sparkles, not chunky glitter.

Mint Cream - My eldest son kept calling it blue not green. To me is like Tiffany Box blue, but with a pinch more green in it. Very pretty, I'm pleased.

Smoky Brown - Imagine the swatch with a touch of a muddy looking purple. It is still very brown though, yet unique looking and I like it a lot.

Glitter Glam - It is just silver glitter. . . not happy. I wanted true silver colored polish.

The real star that I am most pleasantly surprised with is.... the Matte Top Coat! If you have ever flirted with the idea of using a Matte top coat then, run, don't walk, to wherever you buy your ELF nail polish and get it! Just one small warning, using a Matte Top Coat isn't as forgiving as a shiny one. use it with your best polishes for a new look.

My camera is M.I.A. at the moment, but when I find it I will take some pictures and put some swatches up so you get a more true vision of these colors. Also, I am going to hunt down some swatch wheels when I go to the city next because I think they will be very handy for my beauty blogging!
