e.l.f.. Nail Polish Haul

I noticed I didn't have very much spring colored nail polish after my big move. I had purged most of my beauty products because many of them had already been stretched past their lifeline. ELF was having a sale on their essentials Spend $20 and get 10 items from their essentials line for free. They are constantly having various specials and personally I choose to wait for the great deals to order! So I got all nail polish and nail accessory items.

I ordered the 5 piece bright set that comes in, Fire Coral, Hot Pink, Sunset, Punk Purple and Fushia. All are true to swatch but the punk purple which is like a neon purple. They are all very pretty colors, however they are mini's and the website shows them as being the regular full size bottle. Also, the Fire Coral was all dried out and half of it missing. . . which honestly really ticked me off because it was the color I wanted the most from the collection. They did credit me $3 of the $5 charged for the set before they mailed it out, so at least I wasn't totally ripped off.
The other 5 piece set I ordered was the Neutrals collection and it comes with Nude, Champagne, Clear, White and Coral. These all came full size as shown on the website, and all look like the swatch online, very lovely.

Dark Red
Desert Haze
Innocent
Mango Madness
Purple Pleaser

Singles that Do NOT look like swatch!

Metal Madness - I like it the real color better! Dark silver with very fine multicolored sparkles, not chunky glitter.

Mint Cream - My eldest son kept calling it blue not green. To me is like Tiffany Box blue, but with a pinch more green in it. Very pretty, I'm pleased.

Smoky Brown - Imagine the swatch with a touch of a muddy looking purple. It is still very brown though, yet unique looking and I like it a lot.

Glitter Glam - It is just silver glitter. . . not happy. I wanted true silver colored polish.

The real star that I am most pleasantly surprised with is.... the Matte Top Coat! If you have ever flirted with the idea of using a Matte top coat then, run, don't walk, to wherever you buy your ELF nail polish and get it! Just one small warning, using a Matte Top Coat isn't as forgiving as a shiny one. use it with your best polishes for a new look.

My camera is M.I.A. at the moment, but when I find it I will take some pictures and put some swatches up so you get a more true vision of these colors. Also, I am going to hunt down some swatch wheels when I go to the city next because I think they will be very handy for my beauty blogging!
