Have you ever tried a Tinted Moisturizer that actually moisturized? I considered it just a light coverage foundation, not a part of my skin care. I was introduced to the organic brand Juice Beauty in my May Birchbox. After browsing their webpage to see what other products they have I found their Mineral Light Moisturizer it was almost summer so I knew I was going to want some lighter makeup. Great bonus was it also had natural SPF 30 in it as well.
This is the most unique cosmetic I have used. I put on my day facial moisturizer as useful and allowed it to soak in before applying the TM with my hands. Immediately I noticed that it was actually moisturizing my skin. It does leave shine on my skin but it did not look greasy or oily. Powdering my face solved the problem of excess shine. This TM has light coverage that didn't mask me but it did help to even out my skin tone and mask my minor skin flaws.
I have very fair skin, and SPF 30 is good, but I do need to reapply if I am going to be outdoors for a lengthy amount of time. By accident I discovered that this TM is easy to reapply! I was in a pinch, forgot my sunblock and had about 6 more hours blazing summer sun left in my day. I had this in my travel makeup touch up bag and so I just used some hand sanitizer and reapplied it right over what I already had on. I did NOT want a sunburn. I rather look silly for a single day, but to my pleasant surprise it actually gave me a nice finish and I didn't look cakey. I then only powdered the worst areas of my face only because I knew I was going to apply more in a couple hours. I think this is fabulous for a day when you are going to be outside for a long time and want to wear makeup!
I do have negatives about this product as well. I don't like the tube packaging, at least not now while the tube is still very full.Dear reader, if you are not familiar with organic natural products you probably don't know that you have to mix them each use because they settle and separate. The tube makes it hard to mix. you have to massage it and shake it vigorously. I would much prefer it in a wide bottle with a stick built into the lid for mixing. The smell is a bit of a shock too. It smells more like a fruity facial then a TM. It isn't offensive, I just like to use products that are unscented.
At $29 for 2oz of product, the price is great. I say it is a bargain in summer because it replaces my day moisturizer and sunblock easily making up for the cost of a less costly drug store TM. Certified organic ingredients without pesticides, parabens, propylene or butylene glycols, petroleum, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, phtalates, GMO, silicones, artificial dyes or fragrances.
